Determining optimal technological modes for pressing oil from melon seeds to justify rational engineering and structural solutions

This paper considers the process of squeezing oil from melon seeds in a screw press, using method planning full-factor experiment. To study interaction various factors affecting seeds, mathematical methods experiment were applied. Melon used as object study. The results studying physical and mechanical indicators are reported; rational modes pressing have been determined; aerodynamic defined order to design cold-pressed press for seeds. Ventilation substantiated; soaring coefficient was derived. resistance seed is 1.54. highest critical velocity values 6.4, kernels 4.67, husks 3.94, respectively, with moisture content 24.08 %. dependence yield on huskness has determined. It established that there decrease meal it moves receiving chamber exit at same time compaction compressed product. Based study’s results, plant designed. As result solving problem vector optimization criterion, optimal intervals input parameters obtained: initial humidity raw material 9.15...10.27 %, speed rotation 0.843...0.895 s–1, clearance cake 0.750...0.800, temperature pressing=87...89 °С, starting product 7.13...7.23 %
